The Rod Prentice State Farm Agency understands that life can be tough, but it is our responsibility to help you make smart decisions when it comes to your insurance and financial service needs. Our business philosophy is to help you feel safe, have an understanding of your insurance coverage's, and feel respected in our office. We run an office that is very family orientated and we are simply here to help. We proactively and effectively help people manage all the risks of everyday life.

I have been a State Farm agent since August of 1988 and have lived and grew up in Pike County. In our office we feel we know our community and what drives our community very well. No one person can effectively operate this business without an extremely qualified team. One of our team members has been here as long as 24 years another 18 years the other two not as long but very competent. Our office reflects our interests, and we feel it very much a down to earth and home like atmosphere. We are casual, available, understanding, and simply here to help.

My team and I help people personalize insurance plans that properly protect their autos and homes as well as ensure they are taking advantage of all the discounts available to them. I also assist our individuals in creating personalized Farm and Ranch as well as life and health insurance plans that meet their needs and make sure their most important asset is protected. We truly are a one stop shop when it comes to insuring your auto, motorcycle, home, farm, renters, boat, small business, and life insurance needs.

I grew up in Pittsfield and went to High School here. Graduated from Pittsfield high school in 1973 went on to Western Illinois University graduating there in 1977 with a degree in education. I taught and coached for 11 years and in 1988 chose State Farm Insurance as my career path. 32 years later still going strong and wanting to continue severing Pike County. We plan on serving Pittsfield, New Salem, Baylis, Griggsville, Pleasant Hill, Barry, Kinderhook, Hull, El Dara, Milton, Pearl, Detroit, New Hartford, Summer Hill, New Canton, Rockport, Atlas, Time, Florence as well as Mt. Sterling, Brown County and Calhoun County for years to come.
